Variable Belt Speed technology
Unlike traditional sanding machines whose abrasive belts keep a constant rotation speed, the new Variable Belt Speed (VBS) abrasive belt sanding technology from IMEAS allows the belt speed to be adjusted to the machine speed. Controlled through the machine’s management software, the VBS adjusts the abrasive belt’s speed automatically to the sanding line’s current speed, keeping a constant ratio between the two. This provides homogeneous panel surface finishing and increases the life of the belts. VBS can be used for finishing heads (sanding shoes and roll-platens units) and “roll” heads, on new machines and upgrades.
