AIA selects top ten green projects |

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and its Committee on the Environment have selected the organization's Top 10 List of outstanding examples of environmentally responsible architecture and design for 2009.

The honorees were recognized at the AIA's annual National Convention and Design Exposition this spring in San Francisco.
Elements measured in determining the winners included the project's
intent and innovation, community design and connectivity, land use and
site ecology, bioclimatic design, light and air in interior
environments, water use, energy flows and energy future, materials and
construction, long life, and collective wisdom and feedback (lessons
learned).
