|
At the upcoming Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference
& Expo (PELICE), Ashlee Cribb, business manager for Georgia-Pacific
Wood Adhesives, will discuss developments in green building standards
and market drivers on the impact on wood adhesives. The PELICE
conference will be held Feb. 4-6, 2010 in Atlanta, GA.
Her talk, “Impact of Green Building on Wood Adhesives” will review
requirements related to the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in
Energy & Environmental Design® (LEED®) Green Building Rating
System, the Green Building Initiative® Green Globes® rating system and
the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Green
Building StandardTM in the context of new and existing resin
technologies in wood adhesives.
Georgia-Pacific will also feature
its new LEAFTM line of adhesives at the conference. These resins help
manufacturers meet California Air Resources Board Phase 2 low-emission
requirements. Compatible with existing manufacturing processes, LEAFTM
products may also contribute towards LEED credits for building projects.
